The Glenfiddich 15-year-old is a single-malt Scotch variant made using the Solera system pioneered by one of the brand’s own Malt Masters. Whisky aged in three different casks (ex-sherry, ex-bourbon, and new oak) is mixed and mellowed out in a wooden Solera vat, a large oak tun inspired by the sherry bodegas of Spain and Portugal. This vat is consistently topped up to guarantee that every bottle contains a little bit of the original batch.
