Gerard Bertrand Naturae Orange

Naturae is a range of organic wines without added sulfites that offer particularly pure, generous and gourmet aromas. Each vintage, whose composition is reduced to the essentials, expresses the character and taste of the fruit and the terroir. This wine is born from the know-how of Gérard Bertrand and his oenologists, who have unique expertise in sulfite-free winemaking. The wines are cultivated according to organic standards, which requires high quality grapes. Naturae is also a vegan range for consumers concerned about respecting animals. The vinification is precise and very precise given that we do not use sulfur or oenological inputs at any time during the vinification or bottling. Upon receipt, the grapes are immediately cooled to 8°C and pressed, taking care to remove the press juices. The juices are cold-settling to promote natural clarification of the musts and elimination of oxidizable compounds by precipitation. Produced using an ancestral winemaking technique, the white grapes are vinified and fermented in whole bunches, in the manner of red wines. A maceration with stalks and skins gives this remarkable orange color. A vinification under temperature control and without sulfite is done after the blending of the four grape varieties. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine is put into barrels to complete its maceration.
